YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO ME. I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT

Best 90s bands:

NIRVANA grunge may have been overrated, but Curt Kobain was an insane genius

TOOL believe me! listen to Aenema (the cd, not just the song)

KYUSS! No one has said Kyuss. They're Queens of the Stone Age, only BETTER! They rock harder and longer and louder. And stoneder.

RADIOHEAD the best brit band since Led Zeppelin (better than U2)

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE

SOUNDGARDEN listen to Jesus Christ Pose and you'll convert

PEARL JAM

KORN may not be the best band, but they still kicked ass at one time

PJ HARVEY difficult, but good. Better than Hole

SONIC YOUTH may have been better in the 80s, but still one of the better 90s bands

OASIS if only for about 5 songs from Whats the Story(Morning Glory)?

BUSH yeah, I know, shameless Nirvana rip off, but 16 Stone was pretty kick ass

MARILYN MANSON/WHITE ZOMBIE/FILTER/HOLE each had one or two wicked songs

well, thats a good start for you novices....... remember..TOOL and KYUSS

There is a difference between the BEST bands of the 1990s, and the MOST INFLUENTIAL bands of the 1990s.

Do I like Nirvana? Not really, as they are a rip-off the ill-fated Meat Puppets, but in that defense, Bush is merely a rip-off of Nirvana and Pearl Jam, yet all three deserve their place on the MOST INFLUENTIAL bands of the 1990s.

oooh counting crows, third eye blind, goo goo dolls, pearl jam... basically, the 90s had some great bands - in both the "alternative," harder genre and in the lighter AC genre.

Not many people like them any more but bands like nsync, backstreet, boy, spice girls, and other pop bands like them. i gotta admit that i wouldent really listen to them but it would be a crime not to have them play if ur gonna have a 90's party

Funny that you mention BoyzIIMen, because when the had a Concert in The Netherlands a lot of years ago, I worked at their Record Company (PolyGram) and the ticket of their "After Party" came out of my printer. Unfortunately I had so much work to do that I didn't went to it myself.

Now I don't work in the Music Business anymore but I do like to write about Music and Happy LifeStyle on my weblog.
