Pop Wave - does it have a future? Can't Post

Hi

There are many eighties driven bands today which music is not directly cloned from the New Wave although it contains many 80's elements.
Does that kind of music have a future or maybe it is the future? And who might be the biggest fans of that kind of music - teens or those whose childhood was in the eighties? What do you think? I personally like the music with a good melody and harmony, no matter when it was created. But in 2000's it appears that these are not the first things people are looking for in the music.
