Collateral the Movie

I just went to see the movie Collateral. Honestly, I didn't really want to see it- I'm not too into action movies. But, I really liked this movie- it was one of my favorite summer movies. Mann has a talented way of putting a lot of detail into his movies. 
I also got the soundtrack (i buy a lot of soundtracks) and I really like it also. I think a lof of action movies have unneccessary amounts of heavy metal on them with maybe a love song thrown in there. But this one has some rock and jazz and scores from the amazing James Newton Howard.
What did you all think of the movie/music? were you surprised?
