Need help finding a song

Need to find this song for the girlfriend. Here's what I have:
Little known all-girls band - not even a one-hit wonder.
The song is about a breakup and the girl is stalking the ex. It also has something to do with the gate to his house (she's waiting at it or going through it).
The song in question was early 90's (1991-1993 most probably). It was in bubblegum pop style a la Bangles (but this was a no name band). The band was similar to the girl bands Prince made during that time and she thinks it had 3 members.
Any Ideas?
