i have recently read some of the threads and found the site called free-sheets but there is currently no music on there does anybody know where i can get some free piano music from until there site is up

Theirs isn't free but it's CHEAP! It's digital, you can listen to it, download it today and it's 4 or 5 bucks, maybe less for piano sheet music and scores.

the best piano sheet music site by far (in my humble opinion) is http://www.sheetmusicarchive.net -- they have a lot of free pdf file downloads for Beethoven, Mozart, Bach sheet music plus a whole host of lesser-known composers... well, lesser known to me... in addition to a fairly large database of freely available downloads they have the full collection for unlimited download for a few bucks... it's definitely worth it.

It's not free, but there are many low-cost pieces available. Many of them can even be downloaded immediately.
