Madden? Does it really need to be introduced? Well, I will anyway. Madden 2007 is just the next revolution of Madden football. With new features and old ones revamped, it is a must have for any sports gamer.
So ready for a breakdown? Well ready or not here it comes. One of the most important aspects to almost all sports games is the graphics. The graphics of this years version are not all that much different from last years version, although it does have a few new additions. That is not to say the graphics are at all bad, they are still of very high quality. If you are looking for top of the line realism I suggest buying an Xbox 360 and buying that version.
Next, the controls. The controls for madden also have not changed much. Almost all the buttons still correspond to the same thing. The only major change to the controls is kicking. Now instead of kicking by pushing X and then pushing X again when your ready you pull the control stick back and push it forward when your ready, aiming and height control our still the same though. Also while on offense it is now more important then ever to use the right analog stick for your juke moves, instead of the classic R1 and L1.
This game can intentionally or even unintentionally burn hours of your life away. You may find yourself playing for a long time....
Key Features:
Franchise mode: This one everyone knows, you select your team and build it into the next great dynasty! You decide everything from what play to pick to the cost of the tickets.
Superstar mode: Wow, what a change! Superstar mode has had some major changes since last year. Now you have more power over who and what you become. After you select your player (with dna) you to drills to determine your skill level. Then in game you play a somewhat accelerated game. Your plays are automatically picked and you just run thought them, but! now you are your superstar all the time. You see the play through his eyes not the coaches cam.
Side Note: You may also set it so you only play the game when your in, this will put the game into a very quick sim mode.
Mini-Games: The Mini games are almost the exact same as last year, with very few changes. You still have the 2 minute drill, and Training Camp Games.
Online Gaming: It does have online gaming you just need an adapter and your ready to roll.
Madden 2007 is a top of the line Football game. It can be a nice way to spend a few hours.
Other Information:
Madden 2007 features unique play book for every team.
Lead Blocker Control: Lead blocker is a nice control, it can be usefull. What it is in simple is running up to someone jamming the right analog stick and watching the guy fallover. But be carefull if you do it a second to late you will be flagged for cliping!
Sound: The sounds of Madden are very alike last year. I have not noticed anything new in game, you still hear many of the old comments over and over.
Rating: 8
Reason: There was not any major changes to this game, still a great game but it could be improved on.
Should I buy it?
Well, You should if you want the updates rosters, but the game did not change all the much, so if your on the border line wait in till next year to buy it.
