Hey there, Does anyone know of any good pieces for cello and piano they would suggest for solo & ensemble? preferably a classical piece. My friend is a cellist who has been playing for 7 yrs and is in chamber orchestra. I've been playing the piano for 12 w/ most recent piece completed, chopin's fantasie-impromptu. thanks. Depends if you want a classical composer or modern one. You might try something by Bach if you want classical. If you want a more contempoary classical composer, i would try Joel Kass, who also writes under Yoel Kussovitsky (sp) i think. He has written some absolutely incredible pieces that my brother did at his recital. I think the piece he did was Opus 214 for piano and cello. Jen
