The Officially Unofficial Punk Rock Thread	Can't Post

In a fit of rage, I suppose, I created this to avoid confusion and misrepresentation of the genre that is punk rock. Feel free to use this as a place to debate or celebrate, or whatever.

However, I'd like to start this off by asking if I'm alone in listening to punk rock and which bands (within the limitations of the genre) you people listen to.

punk rock was fun, until it turned in on itself and mohawked crust punks and mall hangin kids hijacted it and turned it into some exclusive club.

now fuck all that trend bullshite punk to me is raw brash horrible. the stooges, the saints, the germs, the birthday party, the ramones, black flag, birdman, ect.

fuck it, punks not about anything, its a music genre that likes to get in trouble with police, take waaaayyyy too many hits of horse, and break glass bottles over its head.

I've had this debate and now I'm going to say the main Punk band I listen to is Green Day. If you don't think they are punk then I have to talk to you personally and I want to know what drugs you are on because they really put you in a messed up state. I also like Nirvana, yes I'm calling them punk because grunge is close enough for me. I like the Sex Pistols and a couple of Ramones songs.

By the way, if you don't think Green Day is punk, I want to know what you think is. Maybe your beloved Good Charlotte and Simple Plan.
